Entrance for College admissions unjustified: Tony

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 20: AAP leader and District Development Council (DDC) Member Suchetgarh, Taranjit Singh Tony today termed the decision of holding entrance tests for degree college admissions as unjustified and demanded that the earlier system of admissions on the basis of merit in 12th class should be reverted.
In a handout, the AAP leader said that Government through such one sided decisions is squeezing the rights of young lot and if the students will not get united and raise their voice against such arbitrary moves of the Government, days are not far when the Government will start taking them for granted and will impose more of such capricious decisions on the people.
Tony said that age old system of providing admissions to the students in colleges on the basis of marks obtained in Class 12 exams was fair enough and through the new system of entrance the Government wanted to earn money and manipulate admissions.
