A Pulasa fish, also known as Hilsa or Ilish, was sold for Rs 19,000 in Yanam. The fish, weighing two kg, was auctioned due to high demand. Pulasa fish is considered a delicacy in Andhra Pradesh and its scarcity this year has led to the high price.
