Amazon is reportedly cutting around 180 jobs in its games division, along with making changes to its games initiatives. The company is shutting down its Crown channel and closing its Game Growth effort. This follows previous layoffs in April, which affected over 100 employees in Amazon’s games organization. The company is focused on becoming a leading creator of high-quality gaming content and is refining its Prime benefit to offer free games every month. Despite the job cuts, Amazon remains confident in its future and is actively recruiting for critical roles.
