The cleaning and repair work of a vacant flat in Kolkata led to the discovery of a skeleton inside a sealed plastic drum. The flat had been rented by a Nepalese couple who left two years ago but continued to pay rent until recently. The landlord, unable to contact the tenants, decided to break the lock and clean the flat. The gender and cause of death of the skeleton are yet to be determined. The police are investigating the identity of the tenants and their financial transactions.
