The drafting panel for the uniform civil code (UCC) in Uttarakhand handed over its final draft report, recommending a common marriageable age for girls, similar divorce procedures for all religions, compulsory marriage registrations, maintenance allowance for girls, the end of polyandry and halala, equal inheritance rights, registration of live-in relationships, and a maintenance fund for families.
