Ex-judges taking test for consumer panel not dignified: CJI

High court judges have the authority to scrutinize a wide range of matters, including the assessment of senior bureaucrats in specific instances. However, there is a hesitancy among them to undergo a written test along with an interview process for the appointment as heads of state consumer forums. Both the Supreme Court and the government shared the perspective that it is undignified for judges of the constitutional court to participate in written tests and subsequent interviews.
