India to ‘replace’ all troops in Maldives by May 10, says Male

The Maldives will maintain Indian aviation assets, including two naval helicopters and a Dornier aircraft, but India will replace military personnel handling operation and maintenance tasks by May 10. The decision was reached during the second India-Maldives high-level core group meeting, with India confirming mutually agreeable solutions for the continued operation of its aviation platforms. Male specified that the replacement of Indian military personnel for one platform would occur by March 10, followed by the other by May 10.
