Two men from Punjab were shot in Srinagar by gunmen linked to The Resistance Force, a Pakistan-backed group. Amritpal Singh died instantly, while Rohit Masih succumbed to injuries later. Both were from Chamiyari village. Their families received compensation from J&K and Punjab governments. Amritpal’s family initially refused rites demanding compensation but relented later.
