RAMBAN, Mar 31: The Police in Ramban District claimed today they have arrested five absconders in the last one week with one among them evading his arrest for the past 28 years.
A police spokesperson said the persons detained were wanted for their involvement in several cases registered at Police Stations Ramban, Chanderkote, and Batote.
“The accused were absconding after the commissioning of the crime to avoid legal proceedings,” he said.
All of them have been presented before the concerned courts at Batote and Ramban, added the police spokesperson.
