11 injured in road mishaps

RAJOURI, May 6: At least 11 persons were injured in two separate road accidents in district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that today morning, an Eco car met with a road accident near Sai Ganji Baba Ziarat of Rajouri City located on Rajouri- Darhal road, during which 9 passengers sitting in the car were injured and their treatment is going on in GMC Rajouri.
Eco car bearing registration number JK11 4487 was coming from Darhal towards Rajouri. The driver lost control at a turn and the Eco car met with accident. Some eyewitnesses present at the spot said that before falling into the gorge the car stopped at one place after taking 5-6 turns, due to which the car was badly damaged.
The local people informed police and with the help of the police, all the injured were shifted to GMC Rajouri where their treatment is going on.
Medical Superintendent Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar said that the treatment of 9 injured people is going on at GMC Rajouri. They were identified as Waqar Hussain, Mohammad Akram, Munshi Khan, Lal Mohammad, Mohammad Mishri, Mohammad Farooq, Zafar Hussain, Firoz Deen and Mohammad Ismail.
Meanwhile, a bike met with an accident at Nerojal in Thanna area at about 17.30 hrs due to which two persons namely Aqib Javed (17), son of Mohd Javed, resident of Saj and
Sharafat Ali (18), son of Liyaqat Hussain, resident of Saj were critically injured. They were shifted to GMC Rajouri.
