JAMMU, May 6: In a first of its kind, International Dental Expert Congress (IDEC) conducted a dental masterclass in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time in association with Prof (Dr) Azhar Malik, HoD, Department of Conservative, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu.
The programme was also attended by Dr Rachna Dhani (Assistant Professor) and Dr Shamim Anjum (Assistant Professor), both renowned endodontists from J&K. HALEON – Bombay Dental initiative under the banner of International Dental Expert Congress has conducted this largest ever webinar in India, in over 51 major cities like Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai etc in our country and this initiative took by Dr Azhar Malik made it possible for the dentists of J&K to connect and nurture a scientific landscape in the field of Dentistry under this online programme.
The masterclass witnessed several insights and key points related to advanced clinical procedures and research and technology in the field of dentistry. Eminent International Speaker Dr Mohamad Zaafrany (HoD, Hola Dental Center, Egypt) and Dr Ahmed Shawky (Lecturer, Caira University Egypt) explained in detail about the management of daily challenges in the dental practice and the future prospects in the field of endodontics.
International Dental Congress in association with international organizations like FDI, IADR, EFP etc is aiming to advance research and increase knowledge for the improvement of oral health worldwide by several Investigator sponsored studies, conferences, awards etc. This will instill among the dentists in J&K a sense of thriving in the field of research and attaining international standards in patient care.
Dr Azhar Malik said that such international collaboration could definitely foster a conducive environment for research in budding dentists in J&K and will help to represent our UT at International levels.
