Greater Kailash Murder Case: SIT raids three houses of Ex-SSP, Gola Shah’s driver

60 land deal documents, digital devices seized

JAMMU: Continuing the investigations into Greater Kailash murder case and land grabbing, Jammu Police on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at the house of Sheikh Mehmood at Channi, Parshotam Singh at Bishnah and at the house of the driver of Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah at Gangyal.
In the raids being conducted so far, more than 60 documents related to land deals and sale along with several digital devices have been seized for further analysis.
It is also important to note that the driver of Ravinder Gupta alias Gola Shah has been closely associated with him for the last several years, allegedly becoming a conduit for ill-gotten gains.

The incident occurred on May 1, when Avtar Singh (40), son of Balbir Singh, died after being hit on the head with an iron rod during a scuffle between two groups – both claimed a piece of land in Greater Kailash locality.
On May 4, the court had granted nine days police remand of seven persons, including ex-SSP Sheikh Mehmood, Purushottam Singh alias Nikka, Ravinder Kumar Gupta alias Gola Shah, his son in the Greater Kailash murder case. Two police officials were also suspended in connection with the murder and a departmental inquiry was ordered.

Police remand of 7 accused extended upto May 13

JAMMU: City Judge Jammu Pooja Raina on Thursday extended police remand of Ravinder Kumar Gupta alias Gola Shah and his son Rajat Jandyal, Ex-SSP Sheikh Mehmood, Parshtom Singh alias Nikka, Suraj Singh, son of Parshtom Singh, Sandeep Charak, Vikas Singh, for five more days in much publicized Greater Kailash Murder case. SHO Police Station Gangyal produced all the accused before the court seeking extension of police remand. The Court after perusal of CD File observed that as investigation is at initial stage, the police remand is extended up to May 13, 2024.
