HARIDWAR, May 9: Patanjali Ayurvedic College and Hospital, Patanjali Research Centre and Patanjali University here today jointly organised a one day workshop on ‘Garbh Sanskar’ which enlightened the gathering about the important aspects of pregnancy and things related to it.
The workshop was inaugurated by Yog Guru Baba Ramdev along with Acharya Balkrishan and special guest was Dr. Prof. Kalpana Sharma, an expert in Ayurveda and he was conferred lifetime achievement award on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Baba Ramdev talked about great mothers of the country and made a mention of Jijabai, Putlibai, Madalsa and others who gave births to the great personalities of our country.
Acharya Balkrishan threw light on 16 Sanskars of which three including Garbhadan, Punsvan and Simantoynayan are performed while the child is in womb.
He said that at this crucial period a balanced diet for the mother is very important.
Head of Patanjali Herbal Centre, Dr. Vedpriya Arya talked on present problems of women like PCOD which make the normal deliveries difficult.
Dr. Kalpana Sharma while speaking on the occasion said main objective of Ayurveda is to maintain good health, control diseases and cure them to live a healthy life.
Ayurvedic College Vice Principal, Girish Keje also spoke on the occasion.
Proceedings of the programme were carried out by Dr. Suman Singh while Dr. Gresy Sokia delivered vote of thanks.
