JAMMU, May 9: Advocating hands-on experiential learning experience, Vice Chairman, Higher Education Council, (VC HEC) Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Padma Shree Prof Dinesh Singh today urged the students to harness advanced Information Technology tools for immersive practical learning experiences.
Leading a dynamic interaction session with the students and mentors under innovative four-year Undergraduate Design Your Degree (DYD) programme, the Vice Chairman stressed on the importance of designing algorithms tailored to tackle societal challenges, thereby nurturing a culture of innovation and problem-solving among the youth.
Joining the dialogue, Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, actively engaged with students and mentors from various institutions and stressed on collaborative real-world projects. Prof Rai emphasized the transformative power of teamwork in effecting meaningful change.
The interaction witnessed enthusiastic participation of students and mentors representing Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Govt College for Women (GCW) Gandhi Nagar, Govt College for Women (GCW) Parade, and the University of Jammu.
The interaction session was further enriched by the presence and contributions of distinguished personalities in academia, including Prof B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor SKUAST, Jammu; Prof Naresh Padha, and Prof K S Charak. They underscored the collective commitment towards fostering educational excellence and innovation in the region.
This interactive session provided students and mentors with an opportunity to discover creative educational methods, fostering a collaborative atmosphere geared towards cultivating the future generation of leaders and innovators. Students were inspired to embrace interdisciplinary learning and apply their expertise in practical settings, leading them toward academic and professional success.
