JAMMU: Mamta Singh wife of Dr. Nirmal Singh, former Deputy CM J&K on Thursday filed a petition in the Jammu Wing of High Court of J&K and Ladakh whereby challenging the legality of order dated May 17, 2024 passed by J&K Special Tribunal at Jammu (Bench-III) whereby the Tribunal dismissed the appeal filed by Mamta Singh and upheld the demolition order of JDA in respect of the residential house situated at Village Ban in Tehsil Nagrota, District Jammu.
The Tribunal also imposed costs of Rs 10 lakh on Mamta Singh, for the serious misconduct involving criminal contempt of Court and perjury for getting favorable orders by taking shelter of falsehood, misrepresentation/suppression of facts and fraud.
In the petition filed through Advocates Jugal Kishore Gupta, Uday Bhaskar and Ishna Vaid, the petitioner Mamta Singh has raised several grounds to assail the impugned order passed by the Special Tribunal.
Mamta Singh has also impleaded Asif Hamid Khan Member (Executive Bench-III) J&K Special Tribunal as party respondent in the petition.
The petitioner Mamta Singh wife of Dr. Nirmal Singh has prayed for quashing the order of the Tribunal dated May 17, 2024.
