JAMMU: Banyia Volleyball Club won the Rajouri Sports Volleyball Cup Dodasan beating Choudhary Club Bagla 3-1 (25:20;25;19,21:25,25:21) in the final played at Sports Stadium, Rajouri today.
The event was organised by NYC. Earlier, in the semifinals, Banyia Club defeated Stadium Club 3-2 (25:21, 25:19,21:25,23:25,18:16)while Choudhary Club trounced Budhal Volleyball Club 3-0 (25:08, 25:10,25:20. Additional District Development Commisioner Rajouri was the chief guest while Manager Sports Stadium, Bashir Ahmed and Haji Abdul Karim were guests of honour. President of the host Club, Farooq Choudhary thanked the participating teams and the members of the organising committee for making the event a success. Also present were Munshi Choudhary, Mushtaq Ahmed, Jameel Hussain, Khalid Hussain, Sajjad Majeed and Mohd Akber.
