Jammu: Ahead of National Lok Adalat to be held on July 10, 2021, pre-Lok Adalat Sessions/Sittings will be conducted by High Court Legal Services Committee from July 5 to July 7, 2021 at Front Office, Legal Aid Clinic, High Court of J&K, Jammu.
As per notification, the National Lok Adalat will be held in both wings of High Court, both physically and virtually.
The cases, which would be taken up during pre-Litigation include Cheque cases under Negotiable Instruments Act, Bank recovery cases, Labour dispute cases, Electricity and water bill disputes and others including criminal-compoundable, matrimonial and civil disputes.
The pending cases (reflected on National Judicial Data Grid) which will be taken up, include Criminal Compoundable cases, Cheque cases under N.I Act, Bank recovery cases, MACT, Labour dispute cases, Electricity and water bills, Matrimonial disputes, Land Acquisition cases, service matters relating to pay and allowances as well as retirement benefits, Revenue cases, Civil Cases involving disputes of rent, easement rights, specific performance of contracts and injunction suits.
As per notification issued by Amit Kumar Gupta, Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, any person interested in settlements of his/her case/dispute through Lok Adalats may approach the front office, High Court Legal Services Committee Jammu/Srinagar with the details if his/her case to be listed before National Lok Adalat.
