STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: The government on Tuesday re-constituted the Selection/Promotion Committees and Purchase Sub-Committee of the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura Srinagar. “In suppression of all previous orders issued on the subject, sanction is hereby accorded to the re-constitution of the Senior Selection Committee and Junior Selection Committee in the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences Soura, Srinagar,” reads an order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department As per order, Senior Selection Committee and Junior Selection Committee will be headed by Director General, Codes, Finance Department as its Chairman and Additional Director, SKIMS as Member Secretary. Dean, Medical Faculty, SKIMS; Medical Superintendent, SKIMS, representative of General Administration Department and Director Finance, SKIMS will be the Members Senior Selection Committee whereas Dean, Medical Faculty, SKIMS, representative of General Administration Department and Director Finance, SKIMS will be the Members Junior Selection Committee. “The recommendations of these Committees shall be implemented by the General Administration Department with the approval of the Chief Secretary,” the order stated. As per another order, Purchase Sub-Committee will be headed by Director General, Codes, Finance Department as its Chairman and Chief of Materials Management, SKIMS as Member-Secretary. Dean, Medical Faculty, SKIMS; Additional Director, SKIMS; Medial Superintendent, SKIMS; Chief Engineer, SKIMSl Medical Superintendent, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, Srinagar; Director Finance, SKIMS; concerned HoD for which the purchases are to be made; representative of I&C Department; and Deputy Director (Planning), SKIMS will be its Members. “The Purchase Sub-Committee shall have powers to effect purchase up-to Rs.20.00 crore at a time, subject to the availability of funds and action taken shall be reported to the aforesaid Committee,” the order further stated.
