J&K reports 185 COVID cases, 2 deaths

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 185 new COVID cases, 74 from Jammu division and 111 from Kashmir division, thus taking the tally to 318469 in the Union Territory.
Officials said that two corona related deaths-one each in the Valley and the Jammu Division-were also reported during the past 24 hours.
Moreover, 355 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from various hospitals including 104 from Jammu Division and 251from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 97.74 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across the Jammu and Kashmir.
The officials also said that no confirmed case of Mucormycosis was reported during the past 24 hours, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 31 in the UT of J&K.
According to the daily Media Bulletin, out of 318469 positive cases, 3128 are Active Positive, 310985 have recovered and 4356 have died; 2126 in Jammu division and 2230 in Kashmir division.

The Bulletin further said that out of 10560499 test results available, 10242030 samples have been tested as negative till today.
Till date 2539145 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 7051 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 3128 in isolation and 270781 in home surveillance. Besides, 2253829 persons have completed their surveillance period.
