SRINAGAR: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Private School Association (JKPSA) Kathua under the presidentship of Sat Paul Mansotra on Wednesday met Principal Secretary, School Education Department, B.K Singh in his chamber at Civil Sectrait, Srinagar to highlight the problems of private schools of district Kathua.
A detail discussion was held in which three main agendas viz pending government recognition orders of Private Schools, Tuition plus Annual Fees and Transportation Fees were highlighted.
B.K Singh listened to the members with patience and gave his remarks to all the three points. Regarding government orders of the schools, he said that a single window system will be framed for smooth functioning of the schools and within days all the pending recognition orders will be served on priority bases.
As for as different fees of private schools are concerned, Singh directed the members to discuss the matter with Chairman FFRC. He further added that being member of the FFRC he will give his notes for such matters.
Rachhpal Singh and Er. Naresh Kumar were also present as members of JKPSA delegate.
After that JK PSA delegates visited office of the Chairman FFRC at Haidarpora Srinagar and met with Chairman Justice Muzffar Hussain Attar. Mansotra urged Justice Muzffar Hussain Attar to consider and regulate the review cases of the fees filed by the members of JKPSA last year on top priority. Er Naresh Kumar summed up that due to COVID-19 low budgeted private schools are facing critical financial crises and at the same time loan installments and maintenance of school vehicles has become a huge burden on the stakeholders.
Fuel prices are touching sky and under these circumstances many school owners are in great trouble, he added. Justice Attar listened to the members for around 40 minutes and gave his assurance to resolve such matters of the schools at fast track mode.
