JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that lending a helping hand to the poor and needy is the biggest service towards the nation during the hour of crisis due to pandemic.
The former Deputy Chief Minister was speaking at the launch of Annapurna, a branch of Inara Welfare Trust, which provides food and clothes to the poor and needy. The Trust held a drive to distribute clothes to the poor here at Attitude Salon Shastri Nagar.
The former Deputy Chief Minister while congratulating the organizers said that BJP as party has ensured that no one sleeps hungry in J&K as the activists did herculean job to provide food packets to people at their doorsteps and to the visitors at different locations in the city and its outskirts. He said besides BJP also assisted corona affected in many ways like providing oxygen, medicines and other help.
Kavinder lauded the initiative taken by the Inara Welfare Trust in providing succor to the needy people through distributing food and clothes. He said that Nar Sewa Narayan Sewa, which means ‘Service to Humanity is Service to God’ is part and parcel Indian culture and by doing this help of poor the Trust is rendering yeoman’s service which amounts to biggest charity and philanthropy.
Others present on the occasion include Sanjay Gupta, Pitambar Lal Sharma, Raj Singh Randhawa, Sakshi Sharma, Shavikesh Dadwal, Aman Gupta, Mukesh, Kalpana, Aagriya, Juhi, Atul, Abhinandan, Lucky Manhas, Sanchit Sharma, Rakesh Kumar and Ashok Ranyal. On the occasion, Inara Welfare Trust announced that it will soon launch a maiden haunted web-series in Jammu, which will be directed by G S Shakti.
