REASI: The birthday of Maharaja Partap Singh was celebrated by the General Zorawar Singh Committee, Reasi under the chairmanship of its president Subedar (Retd.) Baldev Singh. While speaking on the occasion, the participants remembered the contributions of Late Maharaja in various sectors. He was instrumental in starting higher education in the state besides promoting the education for the girls. He was also the longest serving king of the Dogra dynasty from 1885 to 1925 and brought many reforms in the society. The meeting was attended by Daljeet Singh, General Secretary of the committee, Munshi Ram, Tehsildar Reasi, Maheshwar Singh, Gurubachan Singh, Ashok Singh, Balbir Singh and Pawan Dev Singh Advocate.
