JAMMU: Recently inducted member of Political Affairs Committee of People’s Democratic Party Advocate Anil Sethi Saturday said that Jammu has always negated the communal politics and it has the potential of defeating divisive forces.
There is no match to the policies of PDP which makes it a party of all sections of society giving people respite from the divisive entities which are ruling the roost in the last couple of years in J&K, he said.
Anil Sethi was interacting with party office bearers during a programme organised to welcome him and Ramesh Koul after both were appointed as members of Political Affairs Committee of PDP.
The felicitation programme was organized under the realms of PDP Jammu Unit here at party office on Saturday and chaired by party’s Vice President Choudhary Abdul Hamid.
Welcoming the induction of Anil Sethi and Romesh Koul into party’s PAC, Choudhary Hamid stressed on strengthening the party by out of the box initiatives to make Jammu region a strong bastion of PDP.
Anil Sethi, while thanking the party leadership for posing faith in his abilities said that no power on earth can stop PDP from becoming a vital entity in the UT of J&K and those who are dreaming about its decline will soon get to know that it has become a force to reckon with.
He categorically said that the divisive forces which have tried to weaken J&K’s pluralistic character will soon face devastation as they have been badly exposed on all fronts.
He said that PDP is not only a political party but it is embodiment of hybrid culture of J&K and therefore weakening the very essence of people of J&K is next to impossible.
He vowed for helping PDP to summit all odds and reach at the pinnacle in the UT of J&K by not compromising on its principles.
He thanked Mehbooba Mufti and Hamid Choudhary for giving him the big opportunity.
Romesh Koul also extended gratitude to the Party High Command for giving him such an important assignment to bring more vibrancy into the PDP and connecting more and more people with the party especially the young blood of the region.
