STATE TIMES NEWS SAMBA: Apni Party, Provincial President, Jammu, Manjit Singh on Friday condemned negligence of Schedule Caste residential colonies in Rakh Ambtali village, Samba district. Addressing a public meeting at the village, the Former Minister, Manjit Singh said that it was annoying to know about a village which has no proper road connectivity, water supplies are irregular and the unscheduled power cuts become a routine. “We hope that the administration works without discriminating against the people in the name of caste or creed. The poor people have hoped with the administration, but there is no one to listen to their woes,” said Manjit Singh. He was addressing a public meeting which was organised by Punjabu Ram Bhagat in which Apni Party, District President, Raman Thappa had also presented. Speaking at the local gathering, Manjit Singh said that the people should be provided all basic amenities as it is the constitutional duty of the administration. “The poor infrastructure shows difficulties being faced by the Schedule Caste community in the village,” he said and added that the villagers have been put to suffering by the incompetent officials as no one is questioning them. He said that it is happening because of the absence of an elected Govt. “We will never allow discrimination with the down trodden section of society if we come to power. Apni Party believes in unity and equality of all the people irrespective of their regional or religious identity,” said the Former Minister, Manjit Singh. On this occasion, Apni Party, District President, Samba, Raman Thappa highlighted various other issues of the people and extended all support to the people being neglected by the administration. Punjabu Ram Bhagat, who organised the public meeting, thanked Apni Party for their efforts for the upliftment of the downtrodden section of the society.
