‘Initiate legal proceedings against Witnesses Factory of Kathua’

KATHUA: Seeking registration of FIR and initiation of enquiry against a so-called Witnesses Factory, being run by some anti-social elements in Kathua, Naresh Kumar Sharma, a resident of Kathua has urged Senior Superintendent of Police, Kathua for issuing necessary directions to concerned authorities for exposing such anti-social persons in larger benefit of society.
In a letter written to the SSP Kathua, Naresh Kumar Sharma alleged that one Shivali Modeel along with her accomplices is running a ‘Witnesses Factory’ in Kathua which manages witnesses for cases of various types, including rape and kidnapping etc and extort money from innocent people by implicating them in serious crime cases. He further revealed that he himself is a victim and has lost approximately Rs 15 lakh. “Shivali Modeel and her accomplices, including her husband Pankaj Kumar are implicating innocent people in false cases.
Facts were also brought into notice of various quarters including Grievance Cell of Prime Minister but no action had been taken,” he alleged, urging SSP Kathua to register an FIR besides holding inquiry against Witness Factory for rescuing innocent people.
