STATE TIMES NEWS POONCH: Recently, an order was issued by the DG Sports Saleem Ul Rehman to clean natural water bodies in order to make them useful for general public. In compliance to this, DYSSO Poonch Ch. Qasim started this initiative in Distt. Poonch and gave task to REK Association Poonch to clean water bodies. Under the supervision of Spokesperson REK Association Pervaiz Malik Afridi, REK teachers, Shabir Malik, Aijaz Malik, Sajad Rather, Manzoor Rather, Zulafqar Ahmed (social activist), Amir Malik, Nazir Lone, Danish, Iqbal Malik, Javaid Malik( a scholar from AMU), Tahir Malik, Saqlain and Yaser Rather conducted a cleanliness drive at very famous spring near Seri Chowana Jamia Masjid (Mohalla Malikan) . While talking to media Pervaiz Malik Afridi (Spokesperson REK association UT JK) said “after getting orders from the DG Sports and DYSSO Poonch , we initiated the quick action and ensured the cleanliness of the natural water bodies in every area of Distt. Poonch. “We have taken the responsibility to make it possible for the people to use these natural springs without any hindrance,” Afridi said”. He urges local people to take care of these natural resources in future and make it a daily routine or a part of your life to clean where it needed.
