HANDWARA: Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from society, police on Wednesday arrested a drug peddler in Handwara and recovered contraband substance from his possession. As per details, a party of Police Station Kralgund during patrolling at Ashpora road near Kralgund Hospital apprehended a suspect identified as Ikhlaq Ahmad Mir, son of Gh Ahmad, resident of Badbugh. During checking, 100 gm Charas was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and shifted to police station where he remained in custody. Accordingly, FIR No. 54/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Kralgund and further investigation has been taken up.
