Baramulla: Acting tough against social crimes, Baramulla Police on Wednesday arrested 3 gamblers and seized stake money from their possession.
As per details, a party from Police Station Kunzer during routine patrolling at village Lolpora apprehended three gamblers, who were identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather, son of Ab Khalid Rather, resident of Waripora Bangil; Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, son of Ab Rehman Ganie and Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie, son of Ghulam Nabi Ganie, both residents of Hardaboora. Officers also seized stake money of Rs 12,500 and playing cards from gamblers. They were arrested and shifted to police station where they remained in custody. Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law was registered and further investigation has been initiated.
