RAJOURI: A labourer got washed away in floods at Manawar Tawi near Bathuni, district Rajouri on Wednesday, while his associate was rescued.
As per reports, two labourers, residents of Chhattisgarh, got trapped in flood. Soon after receiving information, a police team led by SHO Rajouri Sameer Jilani rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with help of locals. A labourer, namely Ganga Dass was successfully rescued while other labourer Sanjay Kumar, who jumped into water to swim across, got washed away. The rescue operation continued till late in evening, but his body was not traced.
