JAMMU: Experiential Learning is one of the most effective ways of learning and this pedagogy has been given a prime place in NEP-2020. Co- curricular activities are an essential part of school life and help in enhancing the learning process of students at school. Activities are meant to enhance social and intellectual skills, develop personality and build a strong moral character.
Keeping this in view, Primary Wing of JK Public School, Kunjwani conducted online ‘Fireless Cooking’ and ‘Young- Scientist Activity’ for classes IIIrd to Vth via Zoom platform. The motive of fireless cooking was to develop empathy, encourage their confidence, to make them more adventurous eaters, to teach them how to survive in any circumstances and moreover imbibe the feeling of thankfulness in them. This event gave a platform to the students to demonstrate and enhance their culinary skills.
The wing also conducted ‘Young Scientist Activity’ for kids to develop scientific temper and the spirit of questioning. A child should learn why and how of everything happening around him/her. All the children participated enthusiastically under the mentorship of their teachers.
Principal JKPS, Vandana Sharma and Vice Principal Shashi Rattan appreciated and boosted their morale of students with their elegant presence.
