BJP committed to ensure food safety for all: Randhawa

JAMMU: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to ensure two times meal for the people who are living Below Poverty Line or were unable to earn during the ongoing pandemic and keeping in view Pradhan Mantri Gareeb Kalyan Ann Yojna (PMGKAY) was launched under which free ration is being provided to 80 crore families of the nation.
This was stated by former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa who is also the Convenor of PMGKAY during his extensive tour to Reasi, Nowshera and Rajouri districts to review the status of the scheme.
While speaking on the occasion Randhawa said that the BJP is the only party which cares for the poor people of the nation.
He said keeping the difficulties of the poor in mind the Prime Minister Narendra Modi decided to launch this scheme so that nobody dies of hunger following frequent lockdowns due to COVID-19.
He said it is the duty of all BJP workers to ensure that every poor gets benefit of this scheme and none of the family categorized to be benefited gets their due share of ration.
Pertinent to mention that Randhawa is conducting district wise review of the scheme and is visiting all districts to make cadres aware so that the beneficiaries under this scheme gets benefitted. He laid stress on the party workers to work hard to highlight the achievements of the Modi government particularly welfare schemes for poor people.
