JAMMU: A delegation of farmers led by Member Kissan Advisory Board, Tajinder Singh Wazir called on Navin Choudhary, Commissioner Secretary, Agriculture Horticulture, Animal Husbandry & Farmers Welfare on Thursday. The delegation expressed gratitude towards Choudhary for taking various initiatives for overall development of agriculture, dairy sector, etc. They further hailed Choudhary for easing import of animals, IDDP policy, insurance schemes etc which helped farmers a lot.
On the occasion, two progressive farmers Punjab Singh and Mukhdar Singh informed that IDDP policy has helped them increasing milk production from 300 liters to 1,000 liters per day. Wazir further demanded some schemes for development of Floriculture, in overall interest of flower growers. The Principal Secretary gave a patient hearing to delegation and assured full support for development of Agriculture and allied sectors in J&K.
