16 members of Police band injured in road accident

JAMMU: Sixteen members of Jammu and Kashmir Police band were injured in a collision between a truck and a minibus at Bateda Kanachak on outskirts of Jammu city on Thursday. The injured were admitted to hospital for treatment.
As per the details, accident occurred around midnight on Wednesday. The members of police band were boarding a minibus from Akhnoor to Jammu after attending an event organised at residence of a Police Officer in Akhnoor. As soon as minibus reached Bateda on Jammu Poonch National Highway, it collided with a truck coming from opposite direction, causing injuries to 16 police personnel. Kanachak police rushed to the spot and with the help of passers-by, all injured police personnel were shifted to the hospital for treatment.
