Leh: Traffic wing of Police Ladakh organised Cycling Expedition to Khardongla Top on Saturday in memory of ‘War Heroes’ under the banner ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
20 officers and officials including lady officials of Ladakh Police took part in the expedition.
The Cycling Expedition was flagged off from Frog Point Gangles by SSP CID Stanzin Losal and it concluded at Khardungla top covering distance of 28 kilomtres.
Ct. Tsering Thinles of IRP secured Ist Position, SI Tashi Targais of PHQ secured 2nd Position and SI Tsering Namgyal of PHQ secured 3rd Position. All riders completed the race in two hours. SSP CID Stanzin Losal 4th Position.
The winners were presented with medals and certificates and also consolation prizes were given to the 4th position and the lady participants. Certificates for participation were given to all the participants by the senior officers.
Cyclists were provided refreshments enroute and also to all the participants at concluding point Khardongla Top.
SP Traffic Mohd Rafi Giri emphasized on the importance of physical fitness in routine lives and how to maintain hygienic environment in our surroundings to protect ourselves from diseases and sickness.
