JKTJAC highlights issues of teaching fraternity, inducts new members

JAMMU: Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) on Wednesday organised a press conference at Jammu under the leadership of UT President, Vinod Sharma. The press conference was attended by many senior leaders of JKTJAC from across the UT.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma raised several burning issues of teachers and sought favour of the department in the high court for getting inclusion of 5 years ReT period for seniority benefits. He also demanded comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme as they are working in the same schools for last more than 21 years and suffering badly. Meanwhile, on the occasion, senior leader of Rehabr-e Taleem Teachers Forum Aftab Malik joined JKTJAC and was inducted in UT body as UT Vice Chairman while Surjit Singh Chib was inducted as UT Vice President, Ravinder Manhas was elected as District President Jammu and Mohinder Partap Singh as Zonal President Zone Jourian. The elected leaders assured to work with full dedicated for meeting the expectations of teachers.
