Katra: Senior Citizens welfare Forum Katra (Regd.) under the Presidentship of Shiv Kumar Sharma who is also Chief Patron Sewa Bharati Jammu and Kashmir celebrates Diwali with the students of Disha Chatterwas Kadmal, Katra.
Students and management of Disha Chatterwas appricated and welcomed the worthy members and prominent persons by presenting Rangoli and lighting hand made deepaks under the overall supervision of Sanjay Sharma, Incharge and Smt. Nisha Devi.
Culture programme was presented by the students of Disha Chatterwas and by a team of students of Muttal headed by Rakesh Kumar, teacher.
Romesh Babbar, prominent social activist and senior most member of the forum was the chief guest on the occasion, while Mahatma Sidheshwar Nand Giri of Bani, Muttal, Mahatma Ravinder Nand Giri of Calcutta, Sushil Dubey, President Disha Chatterwas Management Committee Kadmal, Katra and Raj Kumar of Jhiri, Vice-president Sewa Bharati J&K were the guests of honour.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, who is also President Kreeda Bharti J& K described the importance of Diwali and also taught the students about the good and bad things some people celebrate on Diwali.
Other forum members Romesh Babbar, Sukhdev Singh, Gopal Krishan and Chanay Ram also spoke on the occasion. Proceedings were conducted by Karan, a student of
Chatterwas , vote of thanks presented by Sukhdev Singh, Vice-president of the forum.
Programme was concluded with a National Anthem. In the last all the Chatterwas Students, forum members and prominent persons took their dinner and sweets.
