REASI: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the administrative control of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J) organised in-service training programme on ” Human Resource Development and Stress Management” through virtual mode here today at Reasi which was attended by a number of Agriculture Department Extension Officers.
The programme was organised under the guidance and supervision of Director Extension (DE) of SKUAST-J, Prof.SK Gupta. Dr. Banarsi Lal, Scientist & Head of KVK, Reasi initiated the programme with a brief introduction of human resource development and stress management. He elaborated the concept human resource development and emphasized on the capacity building to enhance the abilities of the people. He discussed on the pre-training, training and post-training phases of trainings required for the farmers. He spoke in detail on the environmental, social and physiological causes of stress and gave their remedial measures. He said that prolonged stress causes different types of ailments among the human beings and there is dire need to mitigate this menace. He narrated that due to modern lifestyle causes of stress are increasing day-by-day which need to be managed properly for the good health. He discussed on conflict and relationship management practices. He emphasised on the meditation, simplicity, good food habits and exercise for a good life. He equipped employees with the stress management practices and coping mechanism which will help them to perform and communicate better. He discussed on the life style enrichment and emphasized on the positive attitude for the better performace. He narrated the guidelines for happiness in life and stressed on the positive thoughts. Dr.Suja Nabi Qureshi spoke on the organic horticulture and good hobbies for the quality life. Anil Thakur, Agriculture Extension Officer, Padder, Reasi thanked KVK, Reasi for organizing such a useful programme. The programme was concluded by Dr.Banarsi Lal with the formal vote of thanks.
