Mendhar: Tehsil Legal Services committee Mendhar organised an anti-drug rally in Mendhar town in connection with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotasav 2021.The rally, which was attended by huge number of students, was flagged off by L.D. Shazia Choudhary (Judge), Chairman of Tehsil Legal Services committee Mendhar from School premises.
The hugely attended rally passed through various roads of Main Market and Bustand area. Addressing the rally, L.D Shazia Choudhary urged the participants to pledge to work wholeheartedly against the menace of drug addiction. “People have to be aware that the drugs in the shape of Heroine and Brown Sugar smuggled from across the border being alarmingly used by new generation of Mendhar, needs our immediate attention. Though police is putting on lot of efforts to stop the supply of these drugs and many drug traffickers have been booked under law but public awareness about this new menace is of paramount importance” the officer added. On this occasion Principal HSS Mendhar, SDPO Mendhar Z.A Jaffry, SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli, Dr Parvaiz Khan BMO Mendhar, Doctors, Advocates, and Civil Society Members were also present.
