The Supreme Court on Wednesday came down heavily on bureaucrats for developing a ‘don’t take any step’ attitude and asked the Centre and states to implement in letter and spirit the decisions taken at yesterday’s emergency meeting. CJI NV Ramana said that there has to be some responsibility and not everything can be done through a judicial order. Delhi government told the apex court that 90 per cent of what the Centre proposed has been done by them. Meanwhile, minister Gopal Rai chaired a high-level meeting over the issue.
