UDHAMPUR: Delhi Public School (DPS) Udhampur, a 5 star Rated school, on Tuesday organized a unique Inter School competition for the students of class V ‘Akal Abhinay Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ a unique inter school story telling competition where 21 schools and 42 participants drawn from various schools of Chandigarh, Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Akhnoor participated. The program began with the welcome of the Chief Guests, Dr. J.C Gupta Pro-Vice Chairman of the School and Dr. Pramod Kumar Shrivastava, Principal Model Academy School Jammu and President Jammu Sahodaya Schools Complex and Guest of Honour Rajesh Rathore, Principal Shri Ram Universal School Jammu.
Other dignitaries who attended the opening ceremony were MD of the School, Vivek Gupta, Director Academics, Sucheta Gupta and Principal, Dr. Kunal Anand. Judges of the day were Shashi Rattan, Vice Principal JKPS Jammu and Nishi Koul former coordinator Scared Era Experimental School Udhampur. Opening ceremony began with formal welcome by Shivani Koul, Head Mistress Jr. School followed by lighting of lamp ceremony by all dignitaries.
Dr JC Gupta applauded the team DPSU for this unique concept and congratulated the team for organizing such level of competition. Dr Pramod K Srivastava said that wining & loosing are the 2 sides of the same coin, but participation is more important. He encouraged all the participants to participate whole heartedly in such competitions. The Zest full dancers of DPS Udhampur presented cultural performances on ‘Aisa Desh Hai Mera’ and ‘O Re Chiraiya’ that was appreciated by all the guests.
Dr. Kunal Anand inspired students by emphasizing importance of Hindi.
The first position was secured by Aniket Sharma from APS Akhnoor, second position was shared between Kavya Kour of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu and Anushka Meena, Delhi Public School Udhampur.
Third position was bagged by Niharika Sharma from APS Akhnoor and Sanvi Rajput from RMG International School. First consolation prize was shared among -Tejas M Rao of ST Joseph School Chandigarh, Manan Malgooria of DPS Udhampur and Aarush Verma of APS Dhar Road Udhampur. Second Consolation was shared by Samrathak Mahajan of Shri Ram Universal school Jammu and Shaurya Singh Rana, APS BD Bari. The vote of thanks was presented by area In-charge Siloni Anand.
