JAMMU: It was a proud moment for JK Public School when Saket Patel and Nimish Verma of Class VII were selected for presentation at State level in an online science project making programme conducting by the National Council for Urban and Rural Development Society.
National Children Science Congress is a flagship programme of NTSTC, DST, Govt of India Delhi for providing platform as per themes and sub-themes declared from time to time. This year’s the theme was “Science for Sustainable Living” having the five sub-themes (1) Eco-system for Sustainable Living (2) Appropriate technology for Sustainable Living (3) Social Innovation for Sustainable Living (4) Design, Modelling and Planning for Sustainable Living (5) Traditional Knowledge System for Sustainable Living.
Team JKPS Kunjwani made a project on “Eco-system for Sustainable Living” in which they planned to show the advantages of a Terrarium. A Terrarium is a mini eco-system, often even as small to the point where it is easily portable. It is very versatile meaning we can change the organism inhabiting the terrarium. Principal Ms Vandana Sharma congratulated Saket and Nimish as well as the Teacher Incharge Ms Parminder Kour for their achievement.
