JAMMU: Mission First Brigade under the aegis of Gurj Division inaugurated a fully furnished classroom for children of the Gujjar/ Bakarwal community and local populace of border villages Chak Dayala and Raipur on 17 Feb 2022. Brigade Commander of Mission First Brigade inaugurated the newly constructed classroom. Civil Dignitaries including Mr Pawan Salatiya, Zonal Education Officer, Mr G R Bhardwaj, DSP, Samba and other Govt Officials were also present on the occasion.
This infrastructure development initiative is aimed to increase the existing capacity of Govt Middle School, Chak Dayala so that more number of the children from nomadic community, rarely seen in the school may be imparted free education in alignment of the overall national project of “Right to Education”. Parents of the children also expressed their gratitude and joy towards armed forces and stated that this will enhance avenues for their children to study and achieve success in life thereby able to contribute towards the society.
