JAMMU: J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu has decided to suspend work in all the courts on March 5 (Saturday).
As per the press note, the decision has been taken in view of the recent incidents of high handedness of police against the members of legal fraternity at the behest of vested interest.
“The work in all the courts including High Court, District Court, other Subordinate Courts, Commission and Tribunals shall remain suspended on March 5, 2022,” it stated.
“The members of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu to discuss the unwarranted incidents and current prevailing situation concerning the legal fraternity in a meeting to be held on March 5, 2022 at 12.00 Noon in the Bar Library High Court Complex, Jammu,” the handout reads and added “It is requested to all the members of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu to participate in the aforesaid meeting.”
