JAMMU: Vikas Sharma and Sunil Raina, both Physical Education Teachers (PETs) of the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) from district Poonch have successfully completed the six-week certificate course in sports coaching in the discipline of Hockey from Netaji Subas National Institute (NIS) Patiala in Punjab.
Both these former players belong to Sham Lal Hockey Club Poonch and have represented J&K at the National level.
In total, 72 candidates appeared from all over India for this course and 51 among them qualified the course.
As a part of the course, Vikas and Sunil appeared in Level-1 Coaching Course in Hockey, organised by Hockey India under Coaching Pathway program, the results of which are awaited.
