POONCH: Bhera, Potha, Belachandak and Ari Plesar on Saturday qualified for the semifinals of the volleyball event of the ongoing YSS Cup, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here.
In today’s quarterfinals, District Fund Officer, Hanif Tantrey was the Special Guest, who along with other officials of the host department interacted with the participating teams.
Also present were Narinder Singh (ZPEO), Amarjeet Singh, Jitender Singh, Kulwant Singh, Vijay Kumar, Mohd Hanif (ZPEO Miralim). The competition is being conduct under the overall supervision of Mohd Qasim, DYSSO Poonch and technical guidance of Mohd Tariq.
Today’s matches were officiated by the technical panel including Ramiz Tariq, Wasim Akram, Sidarat Hussain, Manzoor Ahmed, Abdul Hamid, Shabbir Ahmed, Ikhlaq Ahmed, Jitenderpal and Davinder Singh.

Quarterfinals: Bhera Mendhar beat Kalai 2-1 (19-25,25-23,15-07); Potha Lower beat Chandak A 2-0 (21-25,19-25); Ari Plaser beat Naka Manjari 2-0 (25-23, 25-23); Bela Chandak beat Fazalabad 2-0 (25-23, 25-18).
Pre-quarterfinals: Fazalabad beat Mankote 2-1 (25-20, 22-25, 15-11); Kalai beat Behrooti 2-0 (25-13, 25-18); Naka Manjari beat Chaktroo, 2-0 (25-18, 25-19); Chandak bt Attoli 2-1 (26-24,19-25, 15-12); Potha Lower beat Batalkote 2-0 (25-11,25-11); Bela Chandak beat Bonikhet Draba 2-0 (25-14,25-20).
