Congress is like a sea, no end to it: Bhalla

STATE TIMES NEWS

JAMMU: JKPCC Working President Raman Bhalla on Monday claimed that party recognizes the hard work of grassroot workers who alone can take party achievements and programmes to the people and bring the party back to power to serve the masses.
He was interacting with prominent persons of various areas of RS Pura constituency as a part of his mass contact programme to mobilize public opinion against BJP’s wrong policies and programmes on Monday.
He said that Congress is only political force in the country consistently playing role of healthy opposition to highlight the issues of each section and opposing anti-poor, anti-farmers and anti-people policies of BJP. He claimed that Congress would emerge as single largest party in next elections in J&K.
Bhalla said that his biggest responsibility is to convey the message of his party to every nook and corner of J&K and to counter negative propaganda by responding to what Congress has done in the last 70 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla said that we are ready to debunk the misinformation concerning the party and work towards conveying the truth. We want to convey what Congress stands for and detail our works. The main motive of the BJP is to criticize you by abusing on social media and try to test your temperament and silence you, something which we should understand. It is necessary to ignore such comments and never stoop to their level. It is better not to respond to abusive comments, added Bhalla .
Bhalla further said that Congress is like a sea, there is no end to it and it is not something that will sink. When opportunity comes we will be strong. In politics winning or losing is common, we believe in ideologies. Congress has always opposed to the laws which target one particular community. We have been following the constitution and we have preserved it for 70 years. Equally, I stand tall and proud as a Congressman and I am happy that we fought a vigorous and ferocious electoral battle with a straight bat. We have a rich, over 125 years legacy to cherish the sweet fragrance of innumerable electoral victories at the Central and State levels and the resilience of bouncing back from defeat involving similar abysmal figures. I have absolutely no doubt that we can and shall overcome this, too. The Congress has seen similar bad times and has always emerged strong and solid. As victory must be accompanied by grace and humility, defeat should be followed by genuine introspection and quick meaningful reforms, added Bhalla.
