National Human Rights Commission chairperson Justice Arun Mishra India has taken suo motu cognizance of the killings in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. Investigations would be carried out by NHRC team there. Earlier, CM Mamata Banerjee met the kin of the victims. Nine more people have been arrested in connection with Monday’s killings in Bogtui, taking the total number of accused in custody to 20.
