UDHAMPUR: Eco-club in collaboration with NSS unit of Bhaskar Degree College (BDC) Udhampur organised a plantation drive in the premises of college campus on Tuesday and planted over 30 saplings of different spices including medicinal.
The drive was commenced with the plantation of Arjun tree by principal of the college Dr. S.K. Magotra, Mahesh Abrol, Range Officer Udhampur, Rajnish Sharma block officer, Naresh Sharma, block officer, Rajeev Gupta, members of eco-club, Prof. Bindu Salaria. In plantation drive nearly 30 plants were planted in and around college premises. Drive was carried on in order to make the campus more eco-friendly and to aware the students about the importance of clean and green environment. Whole drive was conducted under the esteem guidance of principal of the college. Besides staff members, NSS volunteers of the college also participated in this plantation drive by planting the saplings. Drive was supervised by eco-club convener Prof. Mohan Singh and N.S.S. program officer Prof. Pinaki Bakshi.
