UDHAMPUR: Five-day multi-media exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav organised by Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) , J&K and Ladakh, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at Mini stadium Udhampur concluded on Tuesday.
The closing ceremony was presided over by SSP Mohan Lal, Deputy Director, SKPA, Udhampur. While addressing the gathering, Mohana Lal lauded the efforts of ROB,J&K for providing the people of Udhampur with an opportunity to know about the freedom struggle and freedom fighters. He called for a need to organize more such awareness programs especially in rural areas.
Mohan Lal said that as citizens of India, we must take inspiration from the determination and resolve of our freedom fighters. “We should be proud of the achievements of our nation during last 75 years. India’s view on world affairs is being respected today. Our nation has emerged as a leader in different fields and nations look up to India for guidance” he added. He impressed upon the youth to take lead and work to preserve this hard fought freedom.
Lal added that, the Students are future of our nation, they have to play a very responsible role and take the nation forward. He further said that, We have to take resolve whatsoever duties & responsibilities are assigned to us, have to take forward it with honesty, commitment and dedication “.
Field Publicity Officer, Udhampur, Khursheed Yousuf in his address said that the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is the celebration of our glorious past and a festival of a great legacy left behind by our visionary forefathers who laid the foundation of our great nation. He said that events like these take us to our freedom struggle and make us feel and identify with the emotions and strong resolve of our freedom fighters.
Yousuf highlighted the importance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and detailed out the five pillars of the campaign viz. Freedom struggle, Ideas @75, Resolve @75, Actions@75 and Achievements@75.
The 5 day multi-media exhibition was inaugurated by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur on 25th March, 2022.
Besides others, faculty members of Government Degree College, Udhampur, Officials of ROB Jammu, ICDS and Health Care workers, students, locals and senior citizens from Udhampur attended todays function.
