JAMMU: To selected boys and girls volleyball teams for 23rd National Youth Volleyball Championship to be held at Rudurpur, Uttarakhand from April 11 to 16, 2022, the 10-day coaching camp, organized by the Volleyball Association of Jammu and Kashmir is in full swing at MA stadium, here.
The Volleyball Association of J&K have shortlisted 20 spikers out of total 65 boys for 23rd National Youth Volleyball Championship appeared in selection trials held on March 28 and 29, 2022 at MA Stadium Jammu.
“The 10-day coaching camp commenced from March 30, 2022 is going on in full swing under Ramiz Tariq VFI recognized Volleyball coach level 1 & 11 daily in morning and evening sessions,” CEO VAJK Kuldip Magotra said.
In the selection trials, he added, unprecedented number of spikers from far off places namely Kupwara, Baramulla, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Pulwama, Poonch Rajouri, Doda, Udhampur, Kathua, etc, are being participated and showed their skills of game.
The contingent of the coaching camp is being supervised by Kuldeep Magotra Chief Executive officer, H.S Gill Executive Vice President, Vijay Kumar Magotra General Secretary, R.C Sharma Tresurer, Subash Shastri Executive Member of Volleyball Association of J&K regularly.
The final selection of volleyball players is scheduled to be held on April 7, 2022 at MA Stadium Jammu prior to their participation in the 23rd National Youth Volleyball Championship.
The players/office bearers of Volleyball Association of J&K have hailed the initiatives of JKUT in promoting sports to shun the menace of drug addiction among youth.
